Data source:

The age group with the highest average daily total screen time is 36-45 years old, averaging 8.39 hours per day.

The analysis successfully examined work and study hours across different age groups. A bar chart was created showing the average hours spent on work or study activities for each age group, with color coding to highlight the differences between groups.

I've created an interactive line chart showing how social media usage has varied month-by-month across different age groups throughout 2024. The visualization displays average daily social media hours for each age group, with separate colored lines tracking their trends over time.

Screen time is remarkably consistent between weekdays and weekends, with users averaging 8.17 hours on weekdays and 8.12 hours on weekends—a negligible difference of just 0.04 hours (about 2.4 minutes).

The analysis reveals that total screen time is quite similar between WiFi and Mobile Data users. A box plot visualization was created to compare the distribution of screen time across both internet types, showing the range, median, and any outliers in the data.

Among the 575 users with screen time above 10 hours, the analysis reveals distinct patterns in both age groups and device preferences. Two visualizations were created: a bar chart showing the distribution across age groups and a pie chart displaying device type preferences. These charts provide a clear picture of which demographics are most likely to have extended screen time.

Based on 524 teenagers aged 13-19, screen time is allocated across three main activities totaling about 8.2 hours daily. Study and work activities take up the largest portion at 4.05 hours per day (49.3%), while social media and entertainment are nearly equal at 2.10 hours (25.6%) and 2.05 hours (25.0%) respectively.

September shows the highest overall internet usage with an average of 8.46 hours per day of total screen time. Different activity types peak in different months: May leads for social media usage, September for work/study hours, and November for entertainment.

I've created a data table showing the ratio of entertainment hours to work/study hours across different age groups. The table displays the average hours spent on each activity and calculates how entertainment time compares to work/study time for each age bracket.

The analysis reveals distinct device preferences across age groups. Younger adults (19-35) prefer mobile devices most, with 38.4% of 19-25 year-olds and 35.3% of 26-35 year-olds choosing mobile as their primary device. Tablets are the top choice for teenagers (13-18) at 37.1%, middle-aged users (46-60) at 35.2%, and seniors (60+) at 36.9%. Laptops are most popular among the 36-45 age group at 36.0%. Overall, device preferences are fairly balanced across all age groups, with each device type capturing roughly 30-38% of users in any given age bracket.

The primary device with the highest total screen time is Tablet , accumulating 7,807.9 hours of usage.

The analysis shows how social media usage varies across different primary device types. A box plot visualization was created that displays the distribution of social media hours for each device category, making it easy to compare usage patterns.

Total screen time is decreasing over the course of 2024. The data shows a modest decline from an average of 8.29 hours per day in January to 8.14 hours per day in December, representing a 1.8% decrease.

The combination showing the lowest engagement is the 19-25 age group using Mobile Data, with an average screen time of just 7.98 hours. This group also shows the lowest social media usage at 2.11 hours and entertainment consumption at 2.03 hours.

I've created a detailed breakdown showing how screen time activities are distributed across different age groups. The analysis reveals the proportion of time spent on social media, work/study, and entertainment for each age category from 13-18 through 66-75.

The analysis examined internet usage patterns for 356 users aged 65 and above. Seniors spend an average of 7.92 hours per day on screens, with work/study activities taking up the most time at 3.94 hours daily, followed by social media at 2.03 hours and entertainment at 1.94 hours. Tablets are the most popular device choice among this age group, and WiFi is their preferred internet connection type.

An impressive 82.6% of users maintain a healthy balance between work/study and entertainment. This means 2,313 out of 2,800 users dedicate equal or more time to work/study activities compared to entertainment, while only 17.4% (487 users) spend more time on entertainment than productive activities.

I've created a visualization showing entertainment hours across all months in 2024, with major holiday months highlighted in red for easy comparison.
