The sector with the highest average value across all dates is Industry, with an average of 38.6805, followed by Residential (35.5961) and Power (26.7028).

The analysis charted average values over time for each sector and compared their peak and trough (highest and lowest) monthly averages. Two visualizations were created: a line chart showing monthly trends by sector, and a bar chart comparing peak versus trough values across sectors. Several data tables with the underlying monthly and summary figures are also available for detailed review.

Residential is the most volatile sector in terms of value, with a standard deviation of 45.246, followed by Power (36.922) and Industry (34.871). However, when looking at relative volatility (coefficient of variation), Power actually shows the highest instability at 138.3%, meaning its values swing widely compared to its average. Residential follows closely at 127.1% CV.

The analysis found 3,542 extreme value anomalies across different sectors and dates, using a statistical threshold of z-score greater than 3 (meaning these values are unusually far from the typical range for their sector). A bar chart shows which sectors have the most anomalies, and a scatter plot highlights the top 20 most extreme cases by date and sector, so you can quickly spot exactly when and where unusual spikes or drops occurred.

Looking at data from January 2019 through February 2026, the average value across all sectors rose slightly overall, from 30.99 to 31.46, a 1.5% increase. However, the trend wasn't steady the whole way — there was a notable dip in May 2020 (average of 19.11), likely reflecting a temporary disruption, followed by a recovery and gradual climb to a peak in January 2026 (average of 31.46). The overall average across all records was 24.89.

Value trends vary notably across sectors from January 2019 to February 2026. Industry has the highest average value (38.71) and grew by 11.8% over the period, rising from 38.26 to 42.77. Aviation has the lowest average value (5.27) and saw a slight decline of 1.4%. Residential values dropped the most, decreasing 6.4% from 66.87 to 62.60, while Ground Transport increased 3.5%. Power stayed nearly flat, dipping just 0.3%. A line chart shows monthly average value trends for each sector over time, and a bar chart compares overall average values across sectors.

The total 'value' was broken down by city and sector combination, shown in a pivot table and heatmap. Los Angeles's Industry sector stands out as the largest contributor at $323,280, followed closely by New York's Power sector ($210,023) and Los Angeles's Residential sector ($324,296). Overall, large cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Seoul show consistently high values across Industry, Power, and Residential sectors, while smaller cities like Oslo, Stockholm, and Mexico City contribute much less to the totals.

Los Angeles has the highest average value at 74.487 (with a total of 974,286.6), while Stockholm has the lowest average at just 0.900 (total 11,774.0). Two bar charts were created to visualize this: one ranking cities by average value and another showing total value by city, plus a detailed data table with the full breakdown.

The analysis ranked sectors by average value within each city and identified the top 3 performers per city. A grouped bar chart shows the top 3 sectors for each city side by side, letting you compare their average values directly. A companion heatmap displays the rank (1 to 3) of each top sector across all cities, using color to quickly show where sectors rank highest (green) versus lower (red/yellow) within the top tier. Together, these visuals make it easy to see whether the same sectors consistently lead across cities or whether different cities favor different sectors.

The 'value' column is right-skewed across the dataset, with an overall mean of 24.89, median of 13.15, standard deviation of 33.63, and skewness of 2.31, indicating a long tail of higher values. City-level analysis shows notable differences: Los Angeles has the highest average value (74.49) while Stockholm has the lowest (0.90), a spread of nearly 74 points that far exceeds the overall standard deviation—confirming that value distributions vary substantially by city.
